How Failure Can Make You A Stronger Person

How Failure Can Make You A Stronger Person

Failure is a word that many fear. But why?

People may fear it for many reasons, maybe if they fail they might disappoint someone, or feel ashamed of themselves.

It could be that failure is the end of dreams and success…

Whatever failure means to you right now, I hope to realign those thoughts to bring out the almighty good in such a scary and menacing word, that crushes so many peoples hope of ever succeeding again.

‘Failing to prepare is preparing to fail’

So, when it comes to failing, what thoughts come to mind?

Maybe you dreaded exams at school or maybe you like competing in sport and worry of not coming first?

Everyone has a different outlook on what failure means, but it is how we deal that matters.

The amount of stress caused by the thought of failure is UNREAL. So if you can learn to look at it in a slightly more positive way, then that can help you get back on your feet to strike again and focus on what’s to come.

Here is a quote that sums up what I have just said:-

“There is no failure except in no longer trying.” – Chris Bradford

Those that give up after failing, never see their own true potential.
‘They’ end up living an unsatisfactory life that they pretend is OK. But deep down it hurts them everyday to know they could do better.

Do you want to be that person?

Or would you rather take that failure and turn it into something that makes you even better than before?

I know which one I would rather be and I know which one I am, because I did exactly that!

I failed, I spent a whole year trying to make money online by ‘Get rich quick schemes’, all leaving me sat here with less money than before.

Not only did I think I had failed myself, but that was precious money that I could of spent on my wife and family so I felt that I had failed them too.

After many days, nights and weeks filled with regret and shame. I said to myself that this can’t be it, this cannot be the dream of working online.

I realised that there was so much more I needed to learn and this failing in a certain area online had really just been a wake up call. Yes it cost me money, but it also steered my on the right track to what I really wanted to do, which was help prevent others making the same mistake.

So I chose to build this website, I spend everyday learning the right way to do things so I can one day share them with people in vulnerable positions like I was in my first year.

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” – Thomas A. Edison

Remember, if you have failed, that is not a reason to give up. Failure is just a lesson taught by life.

Don’t let it get the better of you, use failure to your advantage and let it make you a stronger person!

If you ever need an extra boost of motivation, you know where I am…

I’ve enjoyed reading your article on “How Failure Can Make You A Stronger Person”. I liked how you were able to incorporate your own personal experience with failure. This will definitely allow your audience to feel a more personal connection with your site and of course, the person who happens to be running it. Everything I’ve read and observed through the article was superb, however my only advice/question for you would be maybe considering adding a few “tips” or pointers, for someone who is or has struggled with failure? This way it can allow the person to have a visual “list” almost for them to follow along to or moreso “refer” to in times of failure. Just a thought! Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Brian,
Good article on realising that failure is actually a good thing. Even though I don’t want to fail in things- the way I overcome this is; I realise that now I know what didn’t work (I wont repeat that again), and move forward with something that will work. Edison was amazing really. Im not sure if I could fail 10,000 times!

      Hey Sharon,

Thanks so much for taking your time to give me your feedback and your thoughts on this topic,
You are so right, no one wants to fail and I could also not imagine failing 10,000 times either.

All that matters with failure is that we learn from it for sure. You sound like you know how to deal with it and I am glad you popped by to share your thoughts.

      Thanks so much,

      Welcome Norman,

Thanks very much for your feedback on this topic. You are so right in saying that a lot has come from failure. I don’t think there is ever a success without a previous failure.
I love that quote you have said. Really appreciate you buddy.

      Have a great weekend,
